Boston on Monday felt like a city trying to do everything, everywhere, all at once. It was Patriots’ Day, meaning the Boston Marathon had runners flooding the streets, the Boston Red Sox were drawing crowds to Fenway, and the general energy of the city was already reaching a boiling point.
Australian indie-pop band Spacey Jane released their new song, “Do You Really Love Her,” on March 13, and I’ve had it on repeat ever since. The single leans into a hazy, echo-filled indie style reminiscent of the 80s, with soft synths and dreamy production.
English rock band, The Last Dinner Party, traveled from London to go on their 2nd North American tour. Along with their 2nd North American tour, they performed songs from their 2nd album titled “From The Pyre” for the first time in Boston.
Lily Allen released her newest album, West End Girl, in October 2025. “4chan Stan” is ERS’s pick of the week, which is the 8th track on her controversial, cutting new album. The album is a departure from Allen’s previous work, yet it features her literal and often sarcastic lyricism. Allen is one of the most dynamic, unique performers over the last few years, and her new album is no different!
Following their most recent album release, Ricochet, Snail Mail is taking North America in a whirl of colorful stage lights and fantastic guitar riffs that leave audiences jumping and dancing on their way out the door. Accompanied by Chicago band Sharp Pins and 80s shoegaze band Swirlies, this show took the audience at Big Night Live through a collage of sounds and voices.
