At the final North American performance of her Matter of Time Tour, Laufey transformed TD Garden’s stadium seats and jumbotrons into a colorful circus, an intimate jazz club, and a symphony hall all over the course of one show.
The stage at Royale was dressed up on Sunday night in anticipation of Indigo De Souza’s arrival. The art from her latest album, Precipice, was displayed on a banner behind the instruments, and the room, coated in purple light, hummed with conversation, ready for the moment the room went black, and the stage was no longer unoccupied.
Royel Otis and their band make their already great music sound even better live. Otis’s vocals and Royel’s harmonies were clear, and each member of the band contributed great vibes and immense talent to the performance.
