You might have heard that federal funding for public radio is under threat. Did you know that we also receive grant funding? This funding makes up 10% of our budget. For a small radio station such as WERS, this can have a significant impact.
We believe that everyone deserves access to free, community-rooted programming. At a time when people are seeking connection, culture, and trustworthy content more than ever, local public media, including music stations like ours, is being pushed to the edge.
