Contest Rules

The following are rules for all WERS contests.

Only one winner per household per 30 days is allowed.

Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not exchangeable.

WERS is not responsible for any telephone disconnects, lost mail, lost email, or lost social media direct messages or posts. Some contests may require winners to respond in a time-sensitive manner to claim a prize.  Not responding within the time frame provided will cause forfeiture of the potential prize.

Decisions of the judges in any contest are final. Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes incurred by winning a prize WERS reserves the right to substitute prizes.

Winners must sign and return a contest release form in order to receive prizes (e-signature also accepted.)  Failure to sign a release form in a timely manner may result in disqualification and forfeiture, at which point the station may award a prize to the next runner up.

WERS and Emerson College staff or faculty members, employees, trustees, overseers, volunteers, and their families, are ineligible for WERS contests. Employees of any other broadcast or print media and their families are ineligible for WERS contests.

WERS reserves the right to use winner's name and likeness in any promotional announcements, station website, and/or other materials.

No purchase necessary, and void where prohibited.

Any giveaway conducted in conjunction with fundraising does not require a monetary donation to WERS to participate or win.
