In the upcoming 10th Annual Charlie Tufts Cystic Fibrosis Softball tournament, a Boston bred love for sports and the glory days meets a lifelong fight against a rare genetic disease. Charlie Tufts, diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of two, launched the Cystic Fibrosis Softball Tournament in hopes to fund groundbreaking research and medication. After his brother’s passing due to complications with cystic fibrosis, Peter Tufts continued to host his older brother’s fundraising tournament annually in Joe Moakley Park. Wrapped into a fun day of softball playoffs, food and prizes, family and friends are able to support the Tufts family in their efforts to cure cystic fibrosis for Charlie and the world.
