12th Annual Rally for Rosie’s Place

March 1 @ 8:00 am - March 31 @ 6:00 pm

Rosie‘s Place in Boston is celebrating its 50th year of service!

Back in 1974, Rosie‘s Place was the very first women’s shelter of its kind in the United States. Since then, the folks at Rosie‘s have helped countless women struggling with homelessness and poverty. Your support is so important and the need for services continues to grow. Will you help Rosie‘s continue to be a sanctuary for women and families in need?

Click below or donate in person at any register, and Volante Farms will match all donations up to $8K!

Stats from last year:

– Rosie’s Place is celebrating its 50th year serving women struggling with homelessness and poverty. Back in 1974, Rosie’s was the first shelter of its kind in the USA.

– Rosie’s Place employs a team of 98 employees dedicated to improving the lives of thousands of poor and homeless women each year.

– Rosie’s Place is proud to say that 84 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to services for poor and homeless women.

– In 2023 Rosie’s Place served more than 103,000 meals, a 63% increase from 2022. The Dining Room was open 365 days for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch demand alone increased by a staggering 88%.

– Last year the shelter provided safe and welcoming overnight stays to 177 guests. A total of 231 women accessed housing search services, 16 of whom secured permanent or transitional housing.

– Over the last year, 92 guests worked with Stabilization Advocates, and due to the support services offered by Rosie’s Place, 100% of them have remained housed and stable to this day.

– Last year, 270 students received educational opportunities to learn English on-site, in computer labs, over Zoom and through phone calls.

– The Mental Health Services department at Rosie’s Place met with more than 800 guests last year to provide resources and referrals for substance use disorder programs, detox programs and recovery groups.

– After 50 years, the folks at Rosie’s Place have helped countless women in our community, but there is still so much work to be done. The need is only growing. Please donate today.
