WERS E-PLEDGE SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Eligibility: WERS E-PEDGE Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island and temporary residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island who are legal residents of the contiguous United States (including the District of Columbia) (except Florida and New York) who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. All employees of WERS/Emerson College, and all of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliate companies, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and any other agency that provides services in connection with this Sweepstakes, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and household members of each such employee, whether related or not, are not eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside the contiguous United States, in Florida, New York and where prohibited. Participation in this Sweepstakes constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Sweepstakes. Winning the prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
2. Timing: The Sweepstakes begins on June 30, 2009 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET"), ends on June 30, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
3. How to Enter: During the Promotion Period, there are three (3) ways to enter this Sweepstakes:
A. Enter Online By Making a Donation: Visit http://www.wers.org and follow the links and instructions to complete the membership registration form in its entirety. During the registration, you will be asked to provide certain information, including your first and last names, your email address, a valid home address located within one (1) of the eligible states listed in Section 1 (P.O. Boxes are not permitted), your donation amount to WERS and your preferred payment method for that donation. Submit your completed registration form to receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes.
B. Enter Via Phone during WERS' E-Pledge Day Fundraiser the day June 30th, call 617-824-8700 and follow the instructions to pledge a donation. When pledging a donation, you will be asked to provide certain information, including your first and last names, your email address, a valid home address located within one (1) of the eligible states listed in Section 1 (P.O. Boxes are not permitted), your donation amount to WERS and your preferred payment method for that donation. You will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes.
C. Enter Via Mail Without Making a Donation: Mail a 3”x5” piece of paper with your first and last names, your email address, a valid home address located within one (1) of the eligible states listed in Section 1 (P.O. Boxes are not permitted) and date of birth in an envelope with proper postage affixed to: WERS E-Pledge Sweepstakes,” c/o WERS Radio, 120 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116. All entries must be postmarked by June, 30th 2009 and received by July 3, 2009. You will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Limit: One (1) entry per stamped outer envelope. All mail-in entries must be handwritten. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.
For Donation Methods of Entry: One-hundred (100) percent of donations will go to WERS, a registered not-for-profit organization in the state of Massachusetts. THIS DONATION MAY NOT BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE IN THE MUNICIPALITY AND/OR STATE WHERE YOU FILE INCOME TAXES AND/OR WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. Information concerning WERS, including financial, licensing or charitable purpose(s) may be obtained by sending a hand-printed, self-addressed, stamped envelope to: “WERS Sweepstakes Financial Statement Request,” c/o WERS, 120 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116.
For All Methods of Entry: Limit: Entrant may enter the Sweepstakes one (1) time during the Promotion Period, regardless of the method of entry used to enter the Sweepstakes. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using same/multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all associated entries will be void. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant or player provided he/she is eligible according to these rules. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. The potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
