Directions to WERS

WERS is located in the heart of downtown Boston at 180 Tremont street. The station does not have its own private parking facilities. Please refer to the parking options underneath the directions. When you arrive at the station, check in at the Security desk if it’s after 6pm or on a weekend. WERS is located down the stairs next to the security desk. If you are a band coming with equipment, leave your equipment on the first floor until a WERS engineer or staff member can open the band access door on the first floor.

Driving

From North or South:

On Routes 1, 3, or 95, follow signs to Boston and Interstate 93. From 93, take Exit 26—Storrow Drive West. Follow Storrow Drive approximately 1 mile to the Copley Square/Back Bay exit (on the left). At the traffic light, turn left onto Beacon Street and immediately turn right onto Arlington Street. Follow directions as below.

From West:

From the Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90):
Take Exit 22—Prudential/Copley Square. Stay in the right lane for the Copley Square exit (it comes up quickly). At the first light, turn left onto Dartmouth Street. Follow Dartmouth through two traffic lights to Boylston Street. Turn right onto Boylston. At the third set of lights stay in the right lanes and go straight thru two sets of lights. The station will be on your left at the corner of Boylston and Tremont Street.

From Route 2:
Follow signs for Boston and Soldiers Field Road. (Soldiers Field Road becomes Storrow Drive East.) Follow Soldiers Field Road/Storrow Drive approximately four miles, past the Copley Square/Back Bay exit and take the Downtown exit (right lane exit from underpass). Turn left onto Beacon Street and immediately turn right onto Arlington Street. Follow directions as below.

From Storrow Drive:
Travel down Arlington Street and pass through two traffic lights. Turn left at the third light onto Boylston Street. Caution: As you take the left you must pass through the opening in the median strip, so as to be on the far right side of Boylston Street. Otherwise, you may have to circle the Public Garden and repeat the process. The station will be two blocks up on your left, at the corner of Boylston and Tremont Streets. Where to find parking?

Parking

There are nearby parking facilities that we recommend. Boston Common Garage is located on Charles Street between the Boston Common and the Public Garden. Try to avoid bringing trailers as most garages and lots will not accept them.

*** If you will be unloading any equipment, you may do so in front of the station, however, someone must stay with the vehicle because you may get a ticket. To park in front of the station continue on Boylston past Tremont take a Left on Washington, another Left on West, and finally Left on Tremont to the station. The radio station does not provide or pay for parking.

Amtrak

Get off at Back Bay or North Station and follow directions for the Orange Line MBTA (see below).

Public Transportation

Green Line:
Take the Green Line to Boylston Station. Exit the station. The radio station is to your left at the corner of Boylston and Tremont Street.

Red Line:
Take the Red Line to Park Street Station. Transfer to the Green Line and take a Westbound B, C, D, or E car one stop to Boylston Station. Exit the station. The radio station is to your left, on the other side of Tremont Street.

Orange Line:
Take the Orange Line to Chinatown. Exit the station. CVS will be on your right. Continue up the street and take a right on Tremont Street. The station will be on your right.

From the Airport:
Get on either the #11 or #33 Massport Bus (outside any terminal) and get off at the Airport Subway Station. Take the Blue Line to Government Center Station. Proceed as below.

Blue Line:
Take the Blue Line to Government Center Station. Go upstairs to the Green Line and take a Westbound B, C, D, or E car two stops to Boylston Station. Follow the Green Line directions above.
