Questlove to Guest Star on Law and Order

Most people know Questlove as the drummer of the band The Roots who have their own solo success but are also the in-house band for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, formerly Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. In addition to his great success with The Roots, Questlove is also a DJ, music journalist, and music producer. He has produced music for big names such as Jay-Z, John Legend, Amy Winehouse, Elvis Costello, and many more. However, he will soon be guest starring on Law and Order: SVU, adding acting to his repertoire of talents.

You might be asking how acting and Questlove even ended up in the same sentence. Well, in November he wrote an article for Us Weekly entitled “25 Things You Might Not Know About Me”. In this article he revealed that one if his fantasies is to play a dead body on Law and Order.

Lo and behold, on Friday, Questlove’s dream came into fruition. Ice-T, who is an actor on SVU, tweeted a picture with the caption of,“SVU” behind the scenes, this corpse looks strangely familiar….” I’m sure you can guess that the strangely familiar corpse was Questlove. In the picture he had a large bullet wound in his head and was on a coroner’s table, all the while sporting his signature afro pick.

Ice-T didn’t divulge the episode or the air date of Quest’s cameo, but keep your eyes out for the bullet hole donned with an afro pick. And what we do know now is if we want to star on Law and Order, all we have to do write an article for Us Weekly expressing our interest in being a corpse. I think I’ll submit mine tomorrow; who’s with me?
