Former WERS Artist of the Month Lana Del Ray has confirmed a release date for her album. Well, sort of.
A video recently surfaced of Lana meeting with fans and talking about her upcoming album Ultraviolence. After scoring her first number one single this past year with “Summertime Sadness” and winning a Grammy for best remixed song, this is a much anticipated album and Del Ray states in the video it will be coming out “soon” and says, barring delays, “May 1″.
A May 1st release for a new album would excite most fans, especially since Del Ray herself has hyped it so much. According to her, the album is so good she forgot about her last record and EP. Which is pretty good, considering the caliber of those records.
It’s a definite possibility that we will hear some of the new songs she has in store when she plays Coachella in mid-April. Even a single before then is a possibility for her, as she recently released a cover of a song for the movie Malificent.
Ultraviolence being released on May 1st would be ultra awesome.
