The Haim sisters, Danielle, Este, and Alana, announced the North American leg of their tour, starting in California and eventually reaching Canadian soil in Vancouver. With their most recent album debuting a few months back in September, the trio of sisters are out promoting Days Are Gone as we speak. Their ambitious European tour finishes off the year and transition them into the next with stops in Germany, Belgium, England and more. In addition to this, Haim will also make appearances in Japan, Australia and be starring as the musical guest for this weekend’s show of Saturday Night Live.
Originally from the L.A. area, the sisters were born to music-loving parents who encouraged performances especially in the indie rock Californian circles. Haim’s members were previously featured on a slew of different mediums involving movie soundtracks, Kids‘ Choice Award soundtracks, Jenny Lewis’ tours, and Cee-Lo Green tours. As all sisters were heavily involved in performing, it was in the end of the last decade that the sisters decided to take their careers as Haim more seriously. Next they would be featured as supporting artists for big names such as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Mumford & Sons, and Florence and the Machine. But it was the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas that really encouraged Haim to hone down their art of crafting music. The girls are currently signed with Jay Z’s Roc Nation which released Days are Gone. Having been proven incredibly successful, Haim’s most recent LP sold 90,000 copies the first week it was released.
With an incredibly strong start, Haim success is anticipated to grow and grow as the band evolves. Haim’s list of tour dates can be found here.
