Third Man Records: Donate a Turkey, Receive a Vinyl

Jack White Record AmbassadorThird Man Records wants to make sure no one goes hungry this Thanksgiving.

The record label, owned by Jack White of The White Stripes, is teaming up with Nashville Rescue Mission to host a “turkey drive.” Those who donate a turkey or items (including clothing and canned goods) of equal value will receive a free 7” vinyl of their choice. Additionally, each donator will have his/her photo posted on the record label’s Hall of Fame. The biggest donator will win an extremely rare Dead Weather Triple Decker record.

Sporting the slogan “Your Turntable’s Not Dead,” Third Man Records is known for its impressive vinyl collection. Among the artists who have released music through the label are Beck, The Kills, White Denim, Cold War Kids, Alabama Shakes, The Shins, and, of course, The White Stripes. Almost all of the records are produced by Jack White and are recorded and pressed in Third Man Records’ headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.

The drive has recently begun and will run until November 26th to receive an awesome vinyl. What better way than by helping those in need? Quality music and a charitable spirit make for a great combo.
