Morning Concertgoers! Autumn seems to be in full swing, and winter won’t be far behind, but no matter how chilly it gets nothing will get in the way of Boston’s hot live music scene. A quick glance at this week’s concerts is a sure sign of that:
Thursday, November 14 – Dr. Dog @ House of Blues
Who let the Dog out? Dr. Dog is renowned for creating acclaimed studio albums with stripped-down live sounds, and it clearly shows in the Philly-based band’s exciting live act. You can watch the leashes come off when they play at the House of Blues tomorrow night.
Friday, November 15 – The Mowgli’s @ Paradise Rock Club
After a chorus-happy live set at the Brighton Music Hall this past summer, the Mowgli’s will come back for more when they play at Paradise Rock Club this Friday. They always bring massive harmonies to their shows and love inviting audiences to join along. Concertgoers who decide to see this eight-piece group are sure to leave the concert with huge smiles on their faces.
Sunday, November 17 – Bonnie Raitt @ Orpheum Theatre
Fresh off her tenth Grammy Award win, living legend Bonnie Raitt recently resumed her long-running Slipstream tour. In a career spanning over four decades Raitt has amassed many accolades for her songwriting and guitar prowess including spots on Rolling Stone’s lists of both the “100 Greatest Singers of All Time” and the “100 Best Guitarists of All Time.” You can find out why when she wraps up the weekend with a performance at the Orpheum Theatre this Sunday.
