- About WERS
Sir James Paul McCartney is a living music legend with a career spanning almost fifty years. Starting off with humble beginnings with the Quarrymen in 1957 playing skiffle with John Lennon in Liverpool. A key member of the Beatles, Wings, and his own solo work, Paul McCartney has been regarded as one of the most successful songwriters in the music industry. Singer, songwriter, musician, member of the order of the British Empire, husband, and father Paul McCartney has held many titles throughout his lengthy career.
New marks the sixteenth studio album for McCartney and is his first album of new material since his 2007 Memory Almost Full. Now 71 years old is back with twelve completely new songs inspired by recent events in McCartney’s live and also memores of his pre-Beatles days. McCartney ended up recording New with four different producers: Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns, Paul Epworth, and Giles Martin. McCartney has described the album as “very varied. I worked with four producers and each of them brought something different.” New is really a great album altogether and proves that an old dog doesn’t need to learn new tricks if that dog is Paul McCartney.
