Third Man Records has announced new music from both Jack White’s Dead Weather and The Raconteurs. They will be released through the new Vault package, which is a subscription that includes a 7-inch single from The Dead Weather, the blues group act that consists of the Kills’ Alison Mosshart, Dean Fertita, and Jack Lawrence. The two newest singles, “Open Up (That’s Enough)” and “Rough Detective,” become the first of a series before a 2015 full length album, their first since 2010′s Sea of Cowards. Dead Weather have been together since 2009.
The package also includes a live album and concert DVD from The Raconteurs, White’s alternative rock group with Lawrence, Brendan Benson, and Patrick Keeler. Live at the Ryman Auditorium from Nashville features a 13-song set from band in September 2011. It is a spectacular, pulsing show. The Raconteurs, who have recorded two albums since 2005 and been together on and off ever since.
Both bands have been in the studio this year recording new material, with new Dead Weather material rumored to have been recorded in August while Raconteurs music has been in production since February 2013.
Subscriptions for the current package are available through October 31 on Third Man’s website. It is a quarterly subscription that includes DVD’s, some incredible tracks on vinyl and bonus items for $60.
