The all-female trio, named HAIM after the surname they share, played on the Andrew Marr show on Sunday. They performed “The Wire,” their most recent single, with Prime Minister David Cameron present. Their performance ended with band member Danielle Haim declaring “That was for you, DC. It’s all about you.” Lucky you, Cameron. You can watch the video here.
With new music under their belt and an ever-growing fanbase, HAIM show no signs of stopping. This year they became the first female group to win BBC’s annual Sound of 2013 award, followed by a headlining tour with sold out shows. To top it off, this week the sisters graced the pages of LA Weekly, a newspaper they grew up reading. If you want to listen as they make their childhood dreams into a reality, be sure to pick up Days Are Gone, set for release on September 30th.
