Wednesday, September 25th – KT Tunstall @ Somerville Theatre
Coming all the way from Scotland, KT Tunstall returns to Boston tonight. Last weekend James Reed of the Boston Globe had described KT Tunstall as, “a feisty live performer, unafraid to use her muscular voice in sassy kiss-offs.” So it’s likely that he’s not the only one looking forward to her performance at the Somerville Theatre.
Sunday September 29th – Portugal. The Man @ House of Blues
Earlier this year Portugal. The Man not only released Evil Friends, their first Danger Mouse-produced album and July’s WERS Album of the Month, they played at the inaugural Boston Calling music festival as well. They even stopped by the WERS studios the day before to give listeners a little taste of what to expect. If that live session or festival performance is any indication, Portugal. The Man will put on an exciting live show when they play at the House of Blues this weekend .
Monday September 30th – The Flaming Lips w/ Tame Impala @ Agganis Arena
Thirty years in the music biz and the Flaming Lips are still going strong! The alt-rock titans have made a name for themselves as a live act by using everything from costumes and balloons to their frontman’s signature plastic, man-sized bubble. They’ll be joined by Australian up-and-comers and fellow WERS favorites Tame Impala, so this show’s bound to be one that concertgoers will not soon forget.
