- About WERS
At 4:15 PM each Tuesday, WERS brings you our On the Verge segment which highlights an artist we think is up-and-coming.
Today’s On The Verge performance comes from folk singer/songwriter Sanders Bohlke. Bohlke debuted on the scene over seven years ago, when he released his self-titled album. Since that time, he’s slowly, yet consistently, been releasing singles and EP’s, which bring us to today.
Just this past February, Bohlke released his second album, Ghost Boy, through Birmingham, Alabama label Communicating Vessels. The first single off the album is also titled “Ghost Boy,” and there are now videos out for both that song and “Serious,” another track off the new album.
Bohlke is part of a new wave of folk artists who all have been slowly rising to prominence. He’s actually been on tour with Gregory Alan Isakov and Aoife O’Donovan, another pair of artists on the rise, during this year.
