Concert Watch: August 21st-28th

Pat BenatarTonight – August 21st – Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, House of Blues

Eighties pop rock will certainly be alive and well in Boston this evening. The happy married couple come to Boston this evening to hit the city with their best shot.  They met in 1979 and then married shortly after in 1982.  Since they met, they’ve worked together on many songs and albums together, including Benetar’s biggest hit, “Love Is a Battlefield.” Giraldo fronts Benatar’s band as the lead guitarist.

Thursday – August 22nd – Sarah Blacker, Club Passim

Boston artist Sarah Blacker will be bringing her blend of folk and to Club Passim tomorrow night for a CD release show.  She’ll be breaking out her new album Precious Little Things in full force for the hometown crowd.  This is Blacker’s third album, following 2011’s Come What May.

Friday – August 23rd – Hunx and His Punx, Brighton Music Hall

Maybe you haven’t heard of bubblegum punk, but Hunx and His Punx will give you all the information you’ll need on it.  It’s sure to be a fun and funky night at the Brighton Music Hall while the San Franciscan band is in town.  Their new album Street Punk was released in July.
