Concert Watch: August 14th-20th

PassengerTonight, August 14th– Parachute, The Sinclair

It’s the perfect night for Parachute to be in Boston– the former college buddies just released a new album yesterday and are launching their first big touring effort since their 2011 sophomore effort. An O.A.R. for the modern age, they’ll get you feeling the feelings that force you to listen you “Wonderwall” under the covers late at night.

Sunday, August 18th– Joyce Manor, The Sinclair

California pop punk isn’t dead! Joyce Manor, still touring in support of last year’s Of All The Things I Still Grow Tired, has transcended the so-2007 sound that we bopped our heads to in high school and are turning out interesting stuff. And of all the guilty pleasures, pop punk is really fun to see live.

Tuesday August 20th — Passenger, Paradise Rock Club

The British folkateers have a ton of cred for only having one full studio album, but with ten years on and off in the scene and additional buzz from frontman Mike Rosenberg’s career, it’s a highly anticipated show.
