Nicki Minaj and Myx Fusions Moscato

There is only one female hip hop artist who takes the top spot these days, and she goes by the name Nicki Minaj. EVERYONE, fan of hip hop or not, knows the name Nicki Minaj. Minaj has found a way to insert her brand into just about every facet of American life, not just the world of hip hop. Last season she was a judge on American Idol, bringing her name, face, and unique blend of “around the way girl” fabulousness into homes across the country. She has major endorsement deals with Adidas and Pepsi Co., and she has her own Pink Friday fragrance line. Minaj is at the top of her game, but will not stop there. Nicki Minaj has not joined forces with Mona Scott-Young, Myx Fusions Moscato CMO, and Peter Reaske, Myx Fusions Moscato CEO. Minaj is now the face and co-owner of Myx Fusions Moscato.

It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see a rapper partner with a liquor company. Jay-Z had his time with Cristal, Diddy is all about Ciroc, Ludacris is all about Congacs, and even Petey Pablo was all about Seagram’s Gin before the whole bringing guns through the airport situation. Now, it’s time for Nicki to give the ladies a step into the realm of hip-hop liquor relations.

On the fourth of July, Nicki and Mona Scott-Young hosted a star studded cruise in New York City to promote Myx Fusions Moscato. Peter Reaske, Busta Rhymes, Yandy Smith, Tahiry Jose, Rich Dollaz, DJ Whoo Kid, Keke Wyatt and Jennifer Williams sailed along with Minaj and company to bring in the holiday as well as celebrate Nicki’s new partnership. Though Nicki Minaj is only a co-owner of Myx Fusions Moscato, she chose well. Moscato lines are estimated to be growing at 25% annually, and this will only add to the growth Minaj has already seen in her career as well as her bank account.

Partner and producer of VHI’s Love and Hip-Hop, Mona Scott Young says, “We saw this as a no-brainer, next phase of the evolution: the women’s phase. Nicki is a trendsetter. She doesn’t do what everyone else is doing. She likes the idea of being a game changer.”

Indeed, Nicki Minaj is a game changer, who always finds another way to spice things up. Keep your eyes and ears open because I’m sure she isn’t done yet!
