Pearl Jam Announce North America Tour

Pearl JamAfter a strange countdown appeared on the famed Pearl Jam’s website at the very beginning of this month, fans were left to wonder what the ticking numbers meant. The general consensus was that it would be some sort of huge announcement—and it was. A little less than a week after the clock was posted, it was revealed that the rock band will embark on a sizeable North American tour come October. The band had already been announced to headline the Voodoo Music and Arts Experience down in New Orleans this November 1st – 3rd along with other musicians such as Nine Inch Nails, Calvin Harris, and more, but the tour comes as a (delightful) surprise for fans.

The twenty-four city tour will begin October 11th in Pittsburgh and wrap up December 6th out in Seattle, the band’s original stomping grounds. For Pearl Jam fans based in Massachusetts, there is no Boston stop but the tour includes two shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and a show at the DCU Center out in Worcester, MA.

According to Pearl Jam’s web site, tickets for the shows will be on sale beginning Saturday, July 27th at 10 AM local time, with specifics subject to change in local markets. Tickets for the Voodoo Music and Arts Experience, however, are separate from this tour and are available online.
