Good morning, music lovers! Right now we’re getting a break from all the rain we had yesterday, and even though there’s more on the way tomorrow we’re not going to let some droplets of water get in way of all the great shows happening this week, right? Now let’s take a look at who’s coming to town this week:
Tonight, June 12th: The Rolling Stones @ TD Garden
Last year, the Rolling Stones began celebrating their 50th anniversary with a new greatest hits collection, a documentary, a few select shows and now a “50 Years and Counting” tour that’s finally coming to Boston! With surprise appearances from a variety of guest performers including Dave Grohl, Tom Waits, Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler and, Florence Welch, the shows have been very well received and proved that the Stones still have it after all this time. Yesterday Gary Clark Jr. announced that he’ll also join the Rolling Stones onstage tonight, and who knows how many more surprises the legendary rock band has in store!
Friday, June 14th: The Lone Bellow @ The Sinclair
You heard them on-air during Live Music Week this past spring, and now you’ll finally have a chance to see the Lone Bellow live this Friday at the Sinclair as part of “The Road to Newport!” They just released their self-titled debut earlier this year, but they’ve already made a big enough splash to sell this show out! Hope you were lucky enough to grab tickets to this hot concert.
Saturday, June 15th and Sunday, June 16th: Dave Mathews Band with Brandi Carlile @ Comcast Center
Daveslaves unite! Dave Mathews Band will be taking the Comcast Center stage with Brandi Carlile for not one, but two shows this weekend. The band is renowned for always making each show a completely unique experience, so concertgoers are bound to have a very special time even if they go both nights.
