On the Verge: Savior Adore

At 4:15 PM each Tuesday, WERS brings you our On The Verge segment which highlights an artist we think is up-and-coming.

This week, our On The Verge artist  is pop-rock duo Savoir Adore!  The band from Brooklyn, New York is composed of Paul Hammer and Deidre Muro.  Since their start in 2007, they’ve referred to their music as “fantasy rock,” which isn’t a bad assessment, considering their exciting use of drum machine and loops.

Their first release came back in 2008, called The Scientific Findings of Dr. Rousseau.  Savoir Adore has released three more albums since their debut, including their latest album from 2012, Our Nature.  After signing to Nettwerk Records, the band announced that they’ll be re-releasing Our Nature this June.  Included on the re-release is an additional track, “Beating Hearts.”  The band also recently released a new 4-track EP.  The EP includes their single, “Dreamers,” as well as a cover of the Thomson Twins’ “Hold Me Now.”

Savoir Adore have a full summer ahead of them.  They’re touring all throughout the States during the upcoming months, from New York to Los Angeles, and everywhere between.  They’ll be in town on June 7th for a show at the Brighton Music Hall.

Tune in today at 4:15 PM to hear a live performance and interview with Savoir Adore!
