Daft Punk Preview at Coachella

4e6c6fb2Coachella is in full swing of its first weekend and there are tons of amazing acts from every genre of music like Of Monsters and Men, Tame Impala , The Postal Service, 2 Chainz, Earl Sweatshirt and many, many more. One of the few acts that was not on the Coachella line up was legendary electronic duo, Daft Punk.

Many rumors have been circulating about about the bands upcoming album Random Access Memories. Not much has been released about Daft Punk’s fourth studio album expect a small teaser commercial that aired during Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago. The French duo of Thomas Bangalte and Guy-Manuel made an unexpected arrival to the music festival. Without warning, a two minute trailer appeared on one of the big screens on stage which showcased the two robots rocking out to the album’s lead single “Get Lucky” alongside Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.

At the end of the video a full list came up of all of the artist Daft Punk will be collaborating with for Random Access Memories. Just a few of these artists include: Julian Casablancas, Panda Bear, Gorgio Morodar, and Dj Falcon. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the duo said that they began making the album in secrecy, in Paris around 2008. This is the first album released from Daft Punk since switching labels from Virgin to Columbia, so keep your eyes open for more ads for Random Access Memories.
