Yeah Yeah Yeahs Release “Sacrilege” Video

yeah yeah yeahsAs we find ourselves a couple weeks from April 16th release of Yeah Yeah Yeah’s release of Mosquito, the band has a couple surprises to reel us in tighter. A new video for Mosquito’s first single, “Sacrilege” was offered with a string of tour dates, including a stop at Boston’s House of Blues on May 12th.

The thoughtful production of this provocative video for “Sacrilege” is not only a glimmer of hope in terms of a solid Yeah Yeah Yeahs record, but also inspires a positive outlook of the future of rock music in general. As a band that redefined the genres of rock we know today, through the New York music scene, Yeah Yeah Yeahs have continually released well-respected eclectic grungy rock that raises the bar.

Karen O has said that Mosquito will have a little different of a feel. Demos for the album were filmed in a Manhattan basement and were taken to Sonic Ranch in Tornilla, Texas to be recorded. James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem even produced a track, while the rest was produced by Nick Launay and TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek.

Remember to take a listen to Mosquito on April 16th and to catch Yeah Yeah Yeahs on their spring/summer tour.
