New Releases Tuesday

Depeche ModeWelcome to New Releases Tuesday on WERS. Every Tuesday we’ll take a look around the music scene and bring you updates on, you guessed it, the new albums coming out this week.

DIDO, GIRL WHO GOT AWAY

British singer-songwriter, Dido, has released her fourth studio album, Girl Who Got Away. The record includes collaborations with artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Rick Nowels and Brian Eno and was produced by her brother Rolo Armstrong.

HARPER SIMON, DIVISION STREET

Harper Simon, son of Paul Simon, dropped his sophomore record, Division Street. The album was co-produced by Simon and Tom Rothrock and boasts more of a rock influenced than his debut.

THE STROKES, COMEDOWN MACHINE

The Strokes, led by Julian Casablancas, have released their fifth full-length album, Come Down Machine. The record features the single, “All The Time”.

WAVVES, AFRAID OF HEIGHTS

Nathan Williams and Stephen Pope, who comprise the Los Angeles-based duo, Wavves, dropped their fourth record, Afraid of Heights. The album was produced by John Hill who has also worked with acts such as P!nk , Shakira, Santigold and Rihanna.

DEPECHE MODE, DELTA MACHINE

Depeche Mode, the trio specializing in synth-pop, have released their thirteenth studio album, Delta Machine. The record features the single “Heaven” which you’ve heard on WERS and was produced by Ben Hillier who also produced the Depeche Mode albums Playing The Angel and Sounds of the Universe.
