Matt and Kim New Video

matt-and-kim-its-alrightA few days ago indie pop duo/couple Matt and Kim uploaded a music video to Youtube for their song “It’s Alright.” This is the second music video off of their most recent album, Lightning. Matt and Kim videos are always extremely interesting and quirky like how the video for “Let’s Go” was based around awkward family photographs or how the two stripped down and streaked in New York City for “Lessons Learned.”

Now the video for “It’s Alright” centers around Matt and Kim in bed and dancing while they are sleeping. The concept seems simple enough, but the choreography and practice that went in to this video was amazing. Matt and Kim ended up doing seven six-hour rehearsal day in their own apartment to make sure they got the dance right. In the behind the scenes video the couple says that this is their favorite song off of Lightning and that Matt has had this idea of dancing in a bed for a couple of years now and is excited that it is finally happening.

You can’t help but smile when watching the two dancing, air drumming, fighting with pillows and then riding them like they are in a rodeo. Matt and Kim are innovators of music videos and I am aways excited to see what they will create next. The two are currently touring with Passion Pit and will also be performing at Groovin The Moo, Ultra Music Festival, and Bonnaroo.
