This week WERS is featuring The Adam Ezra Group as our Artist of the Week! We’ve been big fans of Adam Ezra here at WERS for a long time and are so thrilled to have them perform this Saturday at WERS Presents: Reykjavik Calling at the Paradise Rock Club.
Adam Ezra and his band are self proclaimed “activists and community leaders as much as they are musicians.” With a colorful past, Ezra has done everything from living out of a van to farming, to studying geography in South Africa. The band hosts and non profit organization, RallySound, to which they donate 25% of their touring profit to spread across communities and causes worldwide.
In addition to their philanthropy, The Adam Ezra Group is know for their vigorous live performance ever since he began. In the past they have been compared to the likes of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. The band’s most recent release is entitled, Daniel The Brave.
In recent years the band has toured with great friends and fellow musicians like Rusted Root, The Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, Deer Tick, The Goo Goo Dolls, Los Lobos, and the list goes on. Having originated here in Boston, Adam Ezra and his band have traveled a long, long way and are not stopping any time soon.
