After an almost seven year break, Justin Timberlake made his return to music via comeback single, “Suit and Tie”. Featuring a rap from Jay-Z and sleek, neo-soul production from Timberland, the single debuted at #4 on the Billboard chart. After a stunning performance of the aforementioned song at the Grammys it looked like the duo were set to bring their show out on tour. After a few weeks of speculation and rumors, their massive summer tour has finally been announced.
Titled “Legends of the Summer”, Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z have teamed up to take on some of the United States’ biggest stadiums. Starting out at Toronto’s Roger Centre in mid-July, the duo will hit up some legendary venues including Soldier Field, The Rose Bowl, Candlestick Park, and our very own Fenway Park. While there is only one Fenway date (August 10th), there are rumors that a show on the 11th will be announced once the first show, inevitably, sells out. Tickets go on sale February 28th at 10AM.
Timberlake’s new album, The 20/20 Experience, is set to be released on March 19th. Featuring the aforementioned “Suit and Tie”, the album will also feature the recently revealed “Mirrors, an eight-minute long soul ballad.
