Hey all you Playgrounders! Coming up in March, there are TONS of family-friendly shows coming to the Boston area that will make the perfect outing for the whole family!
Clifford the Big Red Dog LIVE! is coming to the Wilbur Theatre in Boston! In this new musical, Clifford and Emily Elizabeth take audiences to Birdwell Island with their friends Cleo, T-Bone, Charley, Jetta, and Mac. On their journey they learn about Clifford’s BE BIG! ideas: Share, Play Fair, Have Respect, Work Together, Be Responsible, Be Truthful, Be Kind, Help Others, Believe In Yourself and Be A Good Friend. This musical was a result of the award-winning animated television series Clifford the Big Red Dog that is shown on PBS KIDS, originally based on the books by Norman Bridwell. This show, celebrating Clifford’s 50th anniversary has been nominated for an Emmy award and provides the whole family with laughter, dancing, and song that will be part of a musical experience you will always remember! There will also be a special show at the Old South Meeting House in Boston, with puppeteer Charlotte Anne Dore of Rosalita’s Puppets! Children can meet the storyteller “Aunty Goose” and her unique puppets! “Aunty Goose,” the sister of Mother Goose, will tell the stories, “The Dragon and the Doctor,” “The Magician’s Rabbit,” and “The Golden Goose.” This show is perfect for young kids, and includes plenty of songs as well as audience participation to keep everyone engaged and laughing! Aunty Goose will be at the Old South Meeting House located at 310 Washington Street in Boston, Tuesday March 19th for a show at 11 AM, and it will be a 45-minute show full of excitement and laughter!
