The Playground’s Top Music

THE MUPPETSAttention Playground-goers, here on the Playground we are looking for some new music to put into our library! Every week we get amazing requests from you and other listeners- and we want to hear from you! Email us at playground@wers.org with all the songs that you want to hear for the weekend and for upcoming shows, or tell us who you would love to see in studio here with us! Here at the Playground we want you to be in charge of the music!

Some of our top requests for the Fall were:

1. Starwars Cantina- Richard Cheese

2. What Kind Of Cat Are You- Billy Jonas

3. Afro Circus- Madagascar 3

4. Quiddich Ball Wizard- Steve Goodie

5. Life’s A Happy Song- The Muppets

Not only can you be able to hear your favorite songs here on the Playground but you are able to hear albums and artists that haven’t even been released yet! Bands like Rolie Polie Guacamole that came into our Live Music Week in October, are able to be heard by all of our listeners, and are able to give you a peek at amazing artists that you may not have known yet! Rolie Polie Guacamole claim, “We’ve been able to build a fan-base, so we owe a lot to WERS.” Listeners like you keep WERS strong and allow for many artists to become known! Here on the Playground we are going to try to get more artists to come in for you, but save the date March 16-24th is our second annual Live Music Week, where we will have multiple of your favorite artists here in studio!

Instead of waiting to hear new songs on the weekend, keep checking in here for new album reviews! One of our new reviews is of The Not-Its new album Kidquake, which was released on February 5th! Keep checking in here for new music and events in the Boston area!
