The Gyal Season Riddim is solely dedicated to women in all cultures and it was produced especially to celebrate Jamaica’s 50th anniversary of independence. All of the artists on this riddim complete the sound and feel of the riddim. Produced by Bambino Musik and Jus Bus, It was released this past January, 2013.
This is a perfect riddim to start the year! The Gyal Season Riddim is a blend of Ska, Rocksteady, and it has a modern vibe to it. Etana ft. Busy Signal with, “Love Love Love”, is the best song on this riddim. “Love Love Love” is a sweet reminder on the power of love. Busy Signal also has a single on the riddim, “Girls Tonight”, which is one out of many songs he has released since his own release from jail recently. Tanya Stephens, “If you Knew”, is another great song to add to your own play list. Romaine Virgo, Spragga Benz, Keida, Kenne Blessin, and Drastic are featured on this riddim.
Uprisings reggae artists such as, Denyque and Sophia Squire, also have songs on this riddim. Tessanne Chin ft. Bambino, “You got what I Need”, is a song worth listening too. The Gyal Season, is a big hit so far and I will not be surprised if it becomes a classic riddim in reggae history. Tune into, ROCKERS, Boston’s Home for Reggae, to hear this riddim and many more!
