At 4:15 PM each Tuesday, WERS brings you our On The Verge segment which highlights an artist we think is up-and-coming. This week’s artist On The Verge is the Los Angeles based indie quintet Family of the Year.
The band consists of brothers Sebastian and Joseph Keefe (both of whom have local recognition in Boston as past members of The Billionaires and Unbusted), Christina Schroeter, Alex Walker and James Buckey. They have toured with acts such as Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, and have released four EPs and three full-length albums—including their latest, Loma Vista—since their debut in 2009.
