RA RA RIOT: BETA LOVE
American indie rock group Ra Ra Riot released their third full-length album today entitled Beta Love. The Syracuse, N.Y. natives will have a noticeable shift in their musical style on this record since the departure of cellist Alexandra Lawn early last year. While the band was settled in their baroque pop ways, they have since had to make changes and have been growing towards a more synthpop feel.
THE JOY FORMIDABLE: THE WOLF’S LAW
Welsh alternative rock band The Joy Formidable fronted by Ritzy Bryan have released their sophomore release The Wolf’s Law today. The band announced the album last spring. This past August the band released a taste of the album by sending out the title track of the record to the all members of the band’s mailing list. The album’s title is a reference to “Wolff’s Law,” a scientific theory that “bones may become stronger in response to stress as a form of adaptation.”
TORO Y MOI: ANYTHING IN RETURN
Chazwick Bundick, better known as Toro y Moi, is an American recording artist and producer from South Carolina. The stage name is a multilingual expression for “the bull and me” mixing Spanish and French. Bundick’s brand of chill-wave music expands today with the release of his third full-length album Anything In Return.
