Teaser Video for The Knifeʼs New Album

As some may know, Swedish electronic pop duo The Knife are all about mystery. They obscure their face in interviews and videos, they rarely perform, and theyʼve been somewhat quiet since their last album Silent Shout in 2006. Now, with bands drawing influence from them left and right (Purity Ring and Niki & the Dove to name a few) the band has announced a followup album.

In the new teaser video for the album, titled We Asked Our Friends and Lovers to Help Us, you see the duo (Olof Dreijer and Karin Dreijer Anderson) on swings while eerie music plays. No words, no text. Just the mysterious mood that The Knife loves to create. However, from various music news sites, the following details have come out: the album, to be titled Shaking the Habitual, will be out Spring 2013. Also, at least one song features Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum. Keep an eye out for more details to come…or let the band keep you wondering whatʼs next.
