New Releases Tuesday

Welcome to New Releases Tuesday on WERS. Every Tuesday we’ll take a look around the music scene and bring you updates on, you guessed it, the new albums coming out this week.

Tre, the final album in Green Day’s trilogy of records has dropped just in time for the end of the year. Each album in the trilogy features a member of the band on the cover and not surprisingly, Tre Cool is featured on the cover of Tre. The Trilogy was announced in April of this year with !Uno! dropping in September and Dos dropping in November.

Peter Gene Hernandez, more commonly known by his stage name Bruno Mars, released his sophomore album, Unorthodox Jukebox today. Mars, who hails from Hawaii, is known for his hit songs “Grenade”and “Just The Way You Are” off of his first album Doo-Wops & Hooligans. “Locked Out Of Heaven”, the first single off of Unorthodox Jukebox was released on October 1st and the entire album was available for streaming the week leading up to its release.

Outkast rapper, Big Boi, has released his second solo album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. Artists such as Wavves, A$Ap Rocky, T.I., B.o.B., Ludacris and Kid Cudi make featured appearances on the record. Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is the follow-up to Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty from 2010.
