New M83 Music Video

Fans of French alternative band, M83 will be excited to hear that the band has just released the third and final video of the current project with renowned directing team Fleur & Manu. Ever since the release of their most recent studio album entitled Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, M83 envisioned a trilogy of videos to go along side the album. The most recent video is for the track titled “Wait,” which follows the unique cinematic vibe and visual themes the previous two videos pursue. “Midnight City” and “Reunion” set the scene as the beginning two videos in the trilogy. Fleur & Manu worked side by side not only M83, but also The Creators Project — an ongoing global arts and technology initiative created by Intel and Vice — to make this trilogy happen.

“We felt it was important to re-connect with a meaningful subject that would have an echo in today’s world. The promise of a new cycle, seen through the kid’s eyes,” said directors Fleur & Manu when commenting on the essence of “Wait”. It is apparent of the ambiance that all three music videos give off, and is a clear representation of the vision M83 wanted. Anthony Gonzalez, front man of M83 shared, “Cinema is the biggest influence for me, even bigger than music itself, so this album is built as a soundtrack, as an imaginary film. This is what we tried to convey with this trilogy.”
