New Releases Tuesday

Welcome to New Releases Tuesday on WERS. Every Tuesday we’ll take a look around the music scene and bring you updates on, you guessed it, the new albums coming out this week.

EL PERRO DEL MAR, PALE FIRE
Sarah Assbring, the Swedish musician who performs under the moniker El Perro Del Mar, released her fifth album, Pale Fire, today. Assbring experience initial success solely in Sweden, but began gaining recognition in the United Kingdom and finally in the United States. Pale Fire marks her first release on the British independent record label, Memphis Industries.

KE$HA, WARRIOR
Dance-pop sensation, Ke$ha, of “Tik Tok” fame dropped her second full-length record, Warrior, today. It was produced by Dr. Luke, formerly of the Saturday Night Live band and producer/songwriter for artists such as Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry. Warrior features the hit single, “Die Young” as well as “Dirty Love” which is a duet with Iggy Pop.

MEMORY TAPES, GRACE/CONFUSION
Dayve Hawk, former front man of the Philadelphia band, Hail Social has released his third solo album Grace/Confusion, which is also his third record under the name Memory Tapes. His music started initially as Chillwave but has since grown to cover a multitude of genres. Grace/Confusion serves as a follow-up to 2011’s Today Is Our Life.

WILLY MASON, CARRY ON
New York native singer-songwriter, Willy Mason’s third record, Carry On, was releasedtoday. The album was produced
by London-based producer, Dan Carey who is known for producing artists such as La Roux, Bat For Lashes, Lily Allen,
and Civil Twilight.
