Riddims Watch: Queen of Queens

We got a brand new riddim from Boston based label Larger Than Life records called the Queen of Queens Riddim. Queens of Queens is an upbeat reggae jam with some great instrumentation and performances. This riddim would probably appeal more to the roots crowds, but still has a great level of energy and features some more dancehall oriented vocalists. I think one of the best parts about this riddim is the horn lines right up at the front of the mix, giving a nice hook to the rest of the groove. The tempo is laid back, yet definitely danceable and sure to please reggae fans of all varieties. The riddim features big names such as Sizzla and Lutan Fyah, but also a host of lesser known reggae artists getting a chance to get some exposure. I think this riddim is sure to please plenty of music fans and is definitely worth a listen (check it out here).

Find this riddim and many more like it on WERS.org and on Rockers, Boston’s home for reggae weeknights 7-10 on WERS!
