Downtown Riddim produced by Riddim Wise might have been made in Montréal, Quebec but it hearkens back to the streets of Jamaica. The title is extremely fitting. With a constant beat that sounds like the footsteps of someone walking down a street. The sound of a horn runs throughout the riddim like cars passing by a busy street. The songs each serve as the ambiance around the footsteps. With the beautiful vocal styling of Sizzla Kalonji adding a smooth and powerful accent. This is the perfect riddim to listen to as you navigate the streets of Boston. You’ll find yourself believing you’re lost in the warm sun and brilliant colors of a Jamaican street.
Find this riddim and many more like it on WERS.org and on Rockers, Boston’s home for reggae weeknights 7-10 on WERS!
