Mixtape Mayhem: Cabin Fever 2

The second installment to Wiz Khalifa’s “Cabin Fever” series continues with Cabin Fever 2. The mixtape was released by Taylor Gang and Rostrum Records respectively on October 16. Its a light mix-tape, 14 tracks long, and is a little gift for his fans before the release of his second Album, O.N.I.F.C. Hosted by DJ Holiday, the mix-tape features Juicy J, Chevy Woods, French Montana, and more.“Smokin Drinkin”, “Fucc Sh*t” and “Riding Round” are a couple standout songs.

“Smokin Drinkin” sports a repetitive hook about what Wiz does all day long, which is smoking and drinking. The good, hypnotic beat gives the song a head-nodding sound. “Fucc Sh*t” sounds like it could have come right off his earlier works such as “Flight School”, which is not a bad thing but a good one for fans whom yearn to hear the classic Wiz style. Lastly “Riding Round” featuring Juice J contains a good 1970 sample that is great music to drive around to. Not Wiz’s best mix-tape but a hot one nonetheless. A music video for “The Tweak is Heavy” dropped a week after mixtape.

Expect Wiz to drop his newest album O.N.I.F.C on December 2nd 2012.
