New Releases Tuesday

Welcome to New Releases Tuesday on WERS. Every Tuesday we’ll take a look around the music scene and bring you updates on, you guessed it, the new albums coming out this week.

NEIL YOUNG AND CRAZY HORSE, PSYCHEDELIC PILL
Neil Young’s thirty-fifth studio album, and second release with the band Crazy Horse dropped today. Young streamed the album in its entirety on his website on October 24th six days prior to it being fully available. Young and Crazy Horse previously collaborated for the 2003 album, Greendale, as well as for Americana which was released in June of this year.

CODY CHESTNUTT, LANDING ON A HUNDRED
R&B/Soul musician and Atlanta Native, Cody ChestnuTT is back with his second full-length album, Landing On A Hundred. He recorded the album in Memphis, Tennessee as well as in Germany where he worked with the German producer and singer-songwriter, Patrice Bart-Williams.

ANDREW BIRD, HANDS OF GLORY
Andrew Bird’s Hands of Glory, the companion piece to his album, Break It Yourself, was released today. It features covers of songs by artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Alpha Consumer, The Handsome family, and The Carter Family. The album also includes two new versions of tracks from Break It Yourself, which came out in March of this year, as well as a brand new song.
