Live Music Week happens bi-annually at WERS to raise money to keep our station running. We ask if you can pledge your support in order to keep us live on air, bringing you live performances from your favorite musicians. Pledges can be made here.
Live Music Week is full of many layers of excitement, but it would not be “Live” Music Week without the live acts that come into our studios and help to make the magic happen. Take a look behind the scenes at what goes into getting these bands into the studios before their sets go live.
Whether it’s the booking many months in advance, contacting PR people on a daily basis or making sure every loose end is tied up neatly before the day of the performance, get an inside look at what our Music Director, Kendall, does to make sure we have your favorite live acts ready to put on a radio ready show.
Once the acts are booked, it’s up to Live Mix to make sure these sets go off without a hitch. Get the scoop from our Live Mix Director, Vitor, on what it’s like to put on a mix, what goes into making them happen and how he and he his team come into play. We also asking Vitor and Kendall what, to them, makes Live Music Week one of their favorite weeks of the year and what makes it continuously makes it so special. Oh, and watch them ham it up for the camera a little bit too.
