Riddims Watch: Karukera Riddim

Originally released in August 2012, this new riddim has been getting more and more hype since the beginning of October. The new Karukera Riddim has a soft reggae groove that’s easy to listen to on repeat. The lyrics stem beyond just dancing but to conscious ideas and spirituality that is reminiscent of older reggae styles. Tracks include well known artists Gyptian, Lutan Fyah, and Hyah Slyce, and each of them puts their own spin on the smooth melody of this riddim. When listening, look out for the easy transitions between artists, a feat not often created as smoothly in many rhythms which makes these tracks perfect for an evening of unwinding or relaxation. If you want to make this reggae riddim a new favorite you can find it here.

Be sure to listen to Rockers from 7-10PM Monday-Friday to hear this and all the newest and hottest riddims, from Kingston to Boston!
