English rockers Blur gained a lot of attention over the summer when the Olympic Committee announced that the band would be playing for the London games’ closing concert. At the time, this was believed to be a one time reunion show, but has since been extended by the band confirming that they will be headlining numerous European festivals in the future. Since their performance at the Olympics, the band has announced that they are releasing a deluxe five-disc live set titled Parklive (a play on their 1994 hit album title Parklife) that with focus on the band’s Olympic set.
Parklive will be comprised of four CDs and one DVD. The first two discs, as well as the DVD, are of their 25-song Hyde Park (Olympics) performance. The third CD is of their small gig at the 100 Club in London in August. Finally, the fourth CD compiles different sessions and live highlights. The box set is around $70 and comes packaged in a 60 page hardcore book featuring photos from their summer shows. Check out the full track listing, as well as a trailer for the collection, here.
