Trent Reznor Working on Beats By Dre

Trent Reznor has proven himself to be one of the most forward thinking musicians of the past two decades. Both musically and technologically, Reznor has always put himself on the cutting edge and now, with the help of Dr. Dre and Interscope Records, he is looking to continue this trend. In addition releasing his new band How to Destroy Angel’s debut album An Omen later this year, Reznor took to Facebook to announce various unknown products that he has been working on over the past few years with Dr. Dre and his company, Beats By Dre.

His confounding wall post contained no concrete details other than a confirmation of his work with Dre. Ending it with “I can tell you it’s probably not what you’re expecting!”, Reznor is intent on keeping his fans on their toes. Reactions to this wall post have been decidedly mixed. Not only has Reznor been very vocal about his dislike of Interscope, his record label since 1992’s EP Broken (technically released under Nothing Records who had Interscope as a parent company), but many fans perceive this as Reznor making a quick dollar off of the Beats By Dre name. More open-minded fans have faith that Reznor, who for all intents and purposes has proven himself to be a man that caters to his audience, has something fantastic in the works. Either way, 2013 will prove to be an exciting year for Reznor fans.
