Indie rock band The National early this October decided to get out and do their part in supporting their candidate for this upcoming presidential election. The National have always been in support of President Obama and one month ago they opened up for the president at an Obama rally in Iowa. With the election closing in, the National decided to pair with the field offices of Obama’s America for Ohio to perform two concerts named “Gotta Vote: Ohio”. The National state on their website the importance of voting and have been active advocates in support of this cause. In order to get your tickets to this event you have to register on a webpage and sign up for a newsletter in support of the Obama-Biden ticket. The rock band from Ohio decided to play in their home state in both Cincinnati and Columbus. Tickets were free after signing up for the newsletter and at each concert the band stationed voter registration tables making it easy for people to sign up. Will The National’s musical aid for Obama’s cause help the president win Ohio? I guess we will have to find out in November.
