On the Verge: Audra Mae

At 4:15 PM each Tuesday, WERS brings you our On The Verge segment which highlights an artist we think is up-and-coming. This week’s artist On The Verge is Oklahoma City native Audra Mae, who also happens to be the great-grand-niece of Judy Garland. She has toured with Frank Turner, Good Old War, Stephen Kellogg, and Lucero among others and is the founding member of the band Audra Mae and the Almighty Sound.

Audra Mae released her solo album The Happiest Lamb in 2010 and formed with The Almighty Sound a year later in 2011. The folk singer is now based in Los Angeles and together with The Almighty Sound has released a new record appropriately titled Audra Mae And The Almighty Sound.

Tune in this Tuesday at 4:15 pm to hear an exclusive in-studio performance and interview from Audra Mae only on 88.9 FM WERS.
