Ben Folds Five Stops By The Colbert Report

The Colbert Report has featured many distinguished musical guests over the years including Jack White, Florence + the Machine, and fun. Now Ben Folds Five can be added to the list because they were featured on the show this past Monday. Ben Folds Five did an interview with host Stephen Colbert and answered questions about their name and their use of social media services like Twitter. The group also performed “Do It Anyway”, the lead single from their new album The Sound of the Life of the Mind. Both the performance and the interview can be viewed online at Colbernation.com.

Earlier this week The Sound of the Life of the Mind debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200, making it Ben Folds Five’s highest charting album to date. The band is currently on tour to promote the new album, and will make a stop at the House of Blues in Boston on Saturday, October 13.
